With my girls involvement in American Heritage Girls we have had the opportunity to meet and work with a lot of Boy Scouts. What a wonderful program the Boy Scouts of America is!
One event that stands out to me was this past Memorial Day. We dressed our girls in Uniform and met the local Boy Scouts at the Cemetery. It was a great event and so professional and organized. The boys looked sharp in uniform and made a huge impression on those watching. They fired their rifles and displayed how patriotic they are.
Afterwards we were invited by our Boy Scout friends to attend a free pancake breakfast. The girls and I headed over and filled our bellies with great food while hanging out with all this great young men and boys. I have never seen boys that were so polite and kind before! Well, I take that back! One of the Boy Scouts is active in helping with our American Heritage Girls troop and has made a great impact on my girls. I credit him for pulling them out of their shells.
We love the Boy Scouts and if you have a boy, I encourage you to attend a local troop meeting to see if it is a right fit for you! If I had a son he would definitely be in the Boy Scouts!
If you kids need a boost in confidence the Boy Scouts can help! If you want your child to be mroe active physically as well as in the community, then again…check out the Boy Scouts! Scouting can involve your entire family! Be A Scout!
