Mother’s Day is our designated day to recognize our wonderful Mother’s! Being a mom myself, I realize just how much my own mom did for me … I shouldn’t even use the word did … So let’s try this again … I realize just how much my mom DOES for me. I’m 40 (hush), and I still need my mom.
My mom is a very strong woman. Last year was the hardest year of her life. She stayed strong through it all and I admire her for it. I like to think that I take after her in most ways. Although, she is an amazing housekeeper and I am not … oops! I’m trying though!
My mom has been there for me through every hard thing I have ever went through in my life. I know many people can not say that. I am thankful that I can. No matter what, she was always there. I’ll never forget when they came out to help me get treatment when I had the tumor. They dropped everything and drove all the way from Georgia to Texas and made sure that I was taken care of.
My mom is quick to put someone else before herself.
It’s hard to make sure that someone knows just how much you appreciate them. Make sure you tell them!
Hey mom! I know you are reading this. I love you and I thank you for all you do and have done. You will get through this sadness! Dad would want you to be happy and to do things that make you happy. We are so happy that you are here in Texas with us and I hope that you will come to me if you ever need me. We are here for you always!
What are some ways that you show appreciation to your mom on Mother’s day?
Do you take them out for dinner? Buy a card? Buy Flowers? You can find mothers day flowers and gifts here online. I can’t get flowers for my mom because of her health, but I do know that this is a traditional Mother’s day gift and I wouldn’t complain if my family gave me a pretty bouquet on Mother’s day. Plants also make nice gifts! Spa and Massage gift certificates are another idea that you could give to your Mother this year. Maybe a French Press with some fancy coffee?

I just had the best Mother’s Day is advance, which is everyday to me because I am blessed with two special kids a mom, and Dad, could ever hope for. There are no words, all I can say is thank you and I love you. I will always be here for you and Marty and I know, even though dad is gone as far as seeing or touching, he will be with me every moment I breathe, forever helping not only me, but all of you, get through each day.
