I talk about my brain not functioning as well as it should. I often blame it on motherhood. I have been told that playing games that challenge quick thinking helps exercise your brain and that in turn helps with memory and function. I don’t want to be a brain dead mom. I want to be a quick thinking mom that can take on anything.
The same thing can happen to kids. You have to feed and exercise those brains or they get lazy. BrainFuel 4 Kids is an awesome website with all sorts of great tips for us to help grow the brains of our children. There are tips on healthy eating, brain exercising, facts, a forum and much much more!
I especially loved the article called “Can Proper Nutrition Improve School Performance?“. I think a lot of people do not realize the effects of what kids eat! It can damage concentration, contribute to bad behavior as well as draining health and energy. On the site you will find many informational articles written by experts.
In the forums you can even ask questions to a Registered Dietitian! I think that is pretty great. It is free to join the forums so be sure to go check it out. You will surely find a lot of useful info! This site is a great educational resource for parents and kids!
I also signed up to exercise my own brain at Lumosity. It was fun and obviously my brain needs some training in a serious way! I thought I was pretty awesome, but it turns out I need a lot of work these days to get my brain in shape. I knew my memory was lacking, but dang…I am not such a quick thinker. Yea. I admitted it. I am lacking and I’ll be working at it!
I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of BrainFuel and received an insulated lunch bag from California Innovations to thank me for taking the time to participate.

I enjoyed my membership with Lumosity. The games were fun and it was gratifying to see my progress in graphs. Some of the free games used to be part of the paid subscription. I think the free membership is awesome & would like to get the paid membership again.
