Itty Bitty Cupcakes in a Flash!

07.31.2011 by Girl on Fire // Leave a Comment

Surely you’ve seen those cute teeny tiny cupcakes that are being sold everywhere, I see them taunting me at coffee shops quite often. Those little suckers sure can be pricey though!

I kept saying we would just make our own, but sadly it got added to that never ending list of things I didn’t have (make) time for…

I have time now…here’s how…

The first bit of awesomeness you will notice is the color! Yes it is a pink appliance! Nothing says yummy sweets like pretty pastels in the kitchen!

This little pretty thing is the Babycakes Cupcake Maker!  Yes, it’s cute…but it’s also very powerful! It can bake 8 snack size cupcakes in about 5 minutes.

It comes with a book of recipes to keep you busy for awhile!  It also can be used with or without cupcake liners because it has a non-stick coating.

For our first run we decided to make Brownie Bites.  This makes it even easier because we were able to use a boxed brownie mix and canned frosting!  Now these take a little bit longer to bake, but still only about 12 minutes.  One box of Brownie mix will make you approximately 16-18 Brownie Bites!  Perfect for a little indulgence without over doing it!

Just follow the directions on the box to mix your batter…

Batter from a box brownie mix.

Then fill each cup with about 2 tablespoons of batter…

Filled cups, we used liners because they are cute!

Then you bake them for approximately 12 minutes…

Bake until set.

We used a prepared icing on our cupcakes.  We decorated the cupcakes using the icing bag and decorating tip that was provided with the cupcake maker.

TaDa!

Cute right? Mmmmmmm!

We had a lot of fun making the cupcakes! It was so super easy and even my little ones were able to participate.  They love icing the cupcakes, but they love eating them even more!

Clean-up was a breeze! Everything wiped off the machine with no effort on my part!  I would totally recommend the Babycakes Cupcake Maker! I’m thinking about getting the Babycakes Donut Maker next!

I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Babycakes and received a product sample and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.
