What time is it?

That is what you will often hear me saying.  My watch broke forever ago and since then I just never got around to getting a new one.  Instead I would dig out the cell phone, walk to the kitchen to look at the stove or pester others to know the time.

I am that annoying person that needs to get a watch.

So, in my pain induced couch potato status I began browsing the internet for watches.  I want a watch that I can wear with pretty much anything.  Nothing glitzy or flashy.

I also need something durable.  You guys already know that I am a very forgetful person.  I need a watch that can withstand being forgotten about and worn in the shower, or attacked by 3 children and a husband with Super Soakers.  I’m not the mom that remembers to take my jewelry and accessories off and place them somewhere safe.  So it must also be resistant to being dropped.  I can pretty much guarantee it will take many spills to the floor.I am a Not So Average Mama in many ways and I need a watch that matches my personality.  I need choices and a lot of them!  I found Invicta Watches on ShopNBC.com and they have a huge selection of watches in pretty much every style you could think of.  I found a few that I am liking.

The first watch that I was interested in is a bit out of my price range at this time, but in the future would be worth investing in.  It is the Invicta Women’s Lupah Revolution Swiss Chronograph with a Polyurethane Strap.  this watch is so unique looking!  It comes in Light Blue, Orange, Pink or Red. I really liked the Light Blue and Red the best.  It also shows the date, which is another thing I will ask.  I’ll ask the date several times in a day in fact.  I told you, I’m forgetful!  This watch is also water resistant up to 330 feet!  If I was in a better place financially, I would most likely get this watch.

The next watch that caught my eye is the Invicta Women’s Wildflower Quartz Rectangular Stainless Steel Watch.  I love that it is Purple!  The sale price is definitely affordable too.  You can also get this watch in brown.  This watch is water resistant up to 165 feet.  I think I could handle that depth, I mean I really don’t ever picture myself being in 165 feet of water!

The watch that I think would be the best for me is called the Invicta Mid Size Pro Diver Quartz Stainless Steel Bracelet Watch.  It looks more like a traditional old school watch.  It doesn’t have any funky colors, Just Stainless Steel and Black.  I think it would work well for me.  I mean really if I think about it, I stand out enough on my own.  This watch also features the date display and is also water resistant.  This one is water resistant up to 660 feet!  I think that will keep my shower wearing and Super Soaking from ruining my watch.  The ShopNBC price is pretty affordable considering the quality of this watch.

I don’t want to purchase something cheap from a discount store that is only going to last a little while and then be replaced.  I want a quality watch that will last me for many years.  These are all quality watches and would work well for me.  What do you think?  Which is your favorite?
