Easter is coming up fast and if you have a child with nut allergies you may need some more ideas to fill those baskets safely for your kiddos. I happy to be able to tell you about Skeeter Snacks!
Skeeter Snacks are a peanut and tree nut free cookies that are made by two dads with their own allergy prone kids. When I was approached to review these cookies, I thought they would be made of weird things and taste…um…weird. I was completely wrong and they are delicious! I even have a new favorite cookie and it is the Chocolate 3. Yes 3! It is chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate. They also have Skeeterdoodle, Oatmeal, Chocolate Chunk and more!
They even passed the husband test, pickiest guy I know and he loved them!
This will be great for Easter baskets, special snacks and much more! I imagine for those of you with children in school, that this would be a great option for classroom parties!
Peanut and tree nut allergies are a serious problem. The number of kids directly affected has tripled over the past fifteen years and the rate of incidence is growing. The vast majority of kids who suffer from nut allergies will not outgrow them. Most often, the allergic reaction is in the form of rashes and other skin irritations, but it can also result in anaphylaxis – an extreme, often life threatening reaction – and every person (or parent) dealing with this lives with that reality.
I’m happy to say that I can buy these at my local Walmart! YAY! I can’t wait to get more! Check them out on Facebook!
We received samples of Skeeter Snacks. No compensation was received and all opinions are my own.
