With the busy hustle and bustle of everyday life, us moms tend to put ourselves on the back burner. If we do that for long enough, we end up feeling pretty crappy about ourselves too. So here are some simple ways to add in a bit of self-care everyday, to help yourself feel beautiful!
With work, school and raising a toddler by myself, I am worn out! As bad as it sounds I rarely even take the time to brush my hair, let alone do a whole skincare routine. But lately I have been feeling pretty down on myself and I have decided enough is enough. No matter how busy the day is or how tired I am, I have decided that everyday I need to do at least one small act of self-care.

I tend to slack on skincare and my skin definitely liked to tattle on me. I wear makeup on a daily basis and at the end of the day, I often have no desire to do a huge complicated skincare routine before bed. I watch TikTok and see all the beauty guru’s doing these ten-step routines and for some reason, I thought that was what you had to do. Nope!
I found an article for a super simple, yet effective skincare routine! My skin has been doing so much better and I find myself sleeping better with a nice clean face!
I also realized that most of my makeup was expired.. YUCK! I kept blaming my skin issues on not washing my makeup off, but I feel like part of it had to be from using expired makeup.
I am not going to lie, some of those products were at least a few years old. I didn’t know things like mascara were supposed to be tossed after just three months of use! I found a helpful list when it comes to making sure you’re makeup products are safe for use.
When you’re trying to feel good on the outside, it is important to take of the inside as well. I have been trying to eat more fruits and veggies, drink more water, and just cut out some of the junk I was eating.
The hardest habit for me to kick was my sweet tooth! So lately I have been snacking on the Annies Organic Bunny Fruit Snacks whenever I am craving something sweet! They are organic and don’t have a bunch of junk in them so I feel good when choosing them!
Finding time to take care of yourself can be hard, but you need to remember that you can’t pour from an empty cup. We moms deserve to be taken care of as well and we will do our duties a heck of a lot better if we are feeling good too!
I challenge you to devote at least 10 minutes a day to doing something that makes you feel beautiful! Whether it be trying out that skincare routine or doing a face mask! Take care of yourself, you deserve it!
