Raising The Bar

06.15.2009 by Girl on Fire // 2 Comments

rtb_logo_final_blue3“Raising The Bar“ on TNT follows the cases of young lawyers who work on opposite sides.  The second season’s cases take on issues such as hate crimes, drug dealing and child pornography.  The Public Defender’s office and the District Attorney’s office face off against each other in the courtroom.raisingcast2“Raising The Bar“ not only looks at courtroom battles but also the relationships among people on different sides.  Mark-Paul Gosselaar (you may remember him from Saved By The Bell) plays the public defender, Jerry Kellerman.  He will do everything he can to secure a verdict of not guilty or a decent plea deal for his clients.  Gloria Reuben (from ER) plays his boss, Rosalind “Roz” Whitman.  She loves her work overseeing the public defender’s office but she longs to spend more time in the courtroom defending the underprivileged.  Jane Kaczmarek (from one of my all time faves…Malcolm in the Middle) plays Judge Trudy Kessler, who wants to be the next district attorney.

This is sure to be a new favorite of mine.  I had never watched it until I seen the sneak peaks of season 2.  You can catch “Raising The Bar” Mondays at 10pm (ET/PT) on TNT.tnt-gold-logo-small_9876_2372
