Jada Pinkett Smith is Christina Hawthorne a Chief Nursing Officer heading up a group of dedicated nurses. The series takes place at Richmond Trinity Hospital. Christina Hawthorne is the kind of nurse you want to have with you when you or a loved one is in the hospital. She fights for her patients and refuses to let them slip through the cracks. She will take on the doctors and the administration to be sure her patients are cared for.
She will violate protocol to be sure that the hospitals true purpose is upheld. She is a strong character and follows in the footsteps of Kyra Sedgwick on “The Closer” and Holly Hunter of “Saving Grace “.
Christina is recently widowed and is raising a smart, rebellious teen on her own. She spends so much time fighting for others, that she sometimes falls through the cracks herself.

I thought the show was fairly decent. Some stuff that could change, but all in all not too bad. There is an interview with Jada’s mom, who is a nurse, that sorts out a lot of the doubt that people have.
