Nationwide Pet Insurance

10.23.2015 by Girl on Fire // 2 Comments

We have a lot of pets!  Those pets include many many chickens, guineas, a barn cat and 4 dogs!  Pets get sick, that is why I am looking into Nationwide Pet Insurance.

Ensure a happy and healthy companion with Veterinary Pet Insurance!

I almost had to take one of our dogs into the vet a few days ago.  He was so sick and losing it from both ends…it was a nightmare.  Thankfully it just ended up only lasting for about 24 hours.  The problem?  He ate ACORNS!  Did you know they were toxic to dogs?  I had no idea!  But what if it had been worse?

OMG, I had NO idea!!! My dog will eat practically anything off the ground, and she was sick (both ends) for a day this week, and I had no clue why. It could have been an acorn!

On a side note, I do have pet insurance, thank goodness. About three weeks ago, we had to take her to the vet because of loose stools. With the exam and medications, it came to $250. And she’d had two sick visits in the spring as well, both which were covered by insurance. I swear, I don’t know where I’d be without it. I guess if money is not an issue, insurance doesn’t make sense, but for anyone with a budget…pet insurance is a life-saver!

Kristin, it was HORRIBLE! The vet had me give him pepto and that seemed to help. No food, sips of water and plain pumpkin. In all of my years of having dogs I had never heard of this. I really am considering the pet insurance! Thank you!
