In recognition of National Random Acts of Kindness Day (Feb. 17), the UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation (UHCCF) is releasing “Oliver & Hope’s Good Deeds Day,” a fun inspirational read for children ages 3-8.
New Children’s Storybook about Good Deeds Raises Funds to Help Families Pay for Child Medical Costs!
The fourth book in the award-winning Oliver and Hope series brings you along with Oliver and Hope as they meet their friends to clean up damage left by a big storm. But as soon as they begin, a mystery appears that eventually reveals true acts of kindness.
The best part of the Oliver & Hope series is the reason behind it. The creation of these beautifully-illustrated and written stories is inspired by the real-life journey of the thousands of children whom the books’ proceeds support. Every purchase of Oliver & Hope’s Good Deeds Day—and the other books and toys from the collection—will fund grants offered by UHCCF to help children gain access to medical-related services that are not covered, or not fully covered, by their parents’ commercial health insurance plan.
Since 2007, UHCCF has awarded over 13,000 grants valued at more than $35 million to children and their families across the United States. In the past four years, Texas families received more than 700 grants totaling more than $2,000,000 for treatments to help pay for medical services and equipment such as physical, occupational and speech therapy, counseling services, surgeries, prescriptions, wheelchairs, orthotics, eyeglasses and hearing aids.
