I Wish I Was Musically Talented

08.18.2009 by Girl on Fire // 1 Comment

Dallas Mai 2009 062J’s family is full of musical talent.  I lack this skill in the biggest way.  I mean I played the dang Trombone in 6th grade band.  I wanted to play the Saxophone, but having braces and all…the jerks said I was only suited to play the Trombone.  I guess that would be cool if I was into Ska, well uh….I’m not.  Don’t get me wrong I totally can dig on some Operation Ivy, but the Trombone is no bueno.

I would love to know just a few piano chords or something!  I can’t even read music!  Sure I can read the numbers that tell you what button to push on the mini piano.  Dang, that’s a blast from the depths of my horrible memory.  Do you remember those little mini piano’s? They were so popular when I was kid.  I remember my dad used to take mine over all the time and I think that we ended up having to get him his own.

J has taught me a few things on guitar, and I did alright.  I think my fingers are way to short though to really be able to play.  I’ll keep trying…but honestly I think I better stick to working a tattoo machine or a paint brush instead of a guitar.

Hey it’s okay, my fingers are way too short also. That’s why I quit. And you’re not the only Arnold with no musical talent. I can’t play anything or sing very well. I’m with you Brandy!

Flashback 80’s Party #Brandcation

The 80’s was my most favorite time ever. The punk scene was real, the music rocked! When I found out we were having an 80’s party at Brandcation and that dressing up was part of the deal, all I could think of was how I still dress the same as the 80’s minus the fishnets […]
