Healthy Paws Pet Insurance and a Giveaway!

11.17.2016 by Girl on Fire // 6 Comments

Healthy Paws Pet Insurance

It’s no secret that I am a dog lover.  I love allllll of the dogs.  All breeds, sizes, if it’s a dog, I love it.  Having dogs can lead to some serious expenses.  We have had our fair share of pet emergencies over the years and Healthy Paws Pet Insurance would have been nice to have.  I’m actually thinking about getting it now.

When we saved Molly, our 2.5lb Chihuahua, she came to us sick.  Seriously sick with a condition called Pyometra.  It was so scary and so very expensive.  Thankfully friends and people from the rescue community stepped in to help us raise part of the money needed for this very expensive surgery and treatment.  Molly recently had another serious medical emergency when  my very large dog, Plissken, accidental stepped on Molly as they raced each other to the door.  She suffered a brain injury and almost died.

I always tell people that there is NO such thing as a free dog.  Things happen and you need to know that.  You can help yourself and your pets by getting Pet insurance.  Healthy Paws Pet Insurance® is the #1 customer-rated pet insurance, and is there when you and your pet need them the most.  Healthy Paws® pays up to 90% of vet bills*!!  That is HUGE!

You can visit Healthy Paws Pet Insurance® to get a free quote.  With every free quote, Healthy Paws contributes money to the medical care of homeless pets!  I love this!  I have recently started working with local rescues and there are so many homeless animals in need.  Through the Refer-A-Friend program, participants earn $35 for every friend who enrolls with Healthy Paws. You can visit the FAQ for more information.

Now, Healthy Paws Pet Insurance does not cover normal care such as vaccinations and wellness checks.  But it is there for the unexpected illness or accident.  They also do not cover pre-existing conditions, so the sooner they are covered the better.

We don’t currently have pet insurance on our furbabies (three dogs and three cats – all rescues). My husband and I have been checking into the different companies and the policies they offer. We may be getting it.

I don’t have pet insurance and I never really thought about it. After reading your post and getting a quote that wasn’t unreasonable I am considering it. Plus with my quote a donation was made to a homeless pets medical care.

I do not have pet insurance. I do have Care Credit that does work at our vet. i am glad to say that I have never had to use it for any type of emergency.

I don’t have pet insurance and I really wish I did. My dog has cancer and he has been very expensive!

Pet insurance is something that I do not have for my pets. I never really thought about what a good idea it was until your post.

We now have a sick cat – I think we need to finish looking over the various pet insurance programs and decide if we are going to get one. Unfortunately, with six furbabies, the insurance can get very costly. We’ve been lucky that we haven’t had big vet bills over the years, although we’ve been hit with some over the past year and a half (but from different pets, so each one wasn’t that much).
