7 Great Craft Ideas For Protecting Your Gadget!

Smartphones, laptops, tablet PC’s cameras and a lot more – these are the top gadgets circulating in themarket today. Many people have already realized the benefits of these helpful gadgets and treasurethem like they are precious jewels. That is why even just a small scratch or a tiny little dent on a gadgetmakes its owner freak out. If you are one of those many people who are just plain protective of their stuff, then why don’t you try doing these 7 great craft ideas for protecting your gadget?

1. Leather case

Leather materials are preferred by many gadget owners. This is because leather can give a better protection to the gadget and it looks more sophisticated. You can just get leather pieces or buy some parts. Place your gadget on top of it and draw an outline with 1 inch allowance. Cut 2 of this pattern and sew the two together on the sides and bottom part.

2. Felt case

Felt paper is a cheap material that can be designed and made into a nice, cute gadget protector. Same with leather cases, just make patterns using the felt paper, cut them and stitch together. The good thing about felt paper is that you can style them easily.

3. Old jeans case

Do you have an old pair of jeans that you do not use anymore? There are many things that you canmake with the use of it. One of the many craft things that you can create out of old jeans is a gadget case. You can just cut some part of the jeans according to your gadget’s size and sew them together.

4. Knitted case

A lot of people like the warm, fuzzy feel of knitted crafts. If you know something about knitting, you can just make your customized gadget case with some yarns and needle. You can also just get an old knitted sweater that you do not use anymore, and cut some patterns from it that will serve as your gadget case.

5. Origami case

The paper art from Japan has also influenced gadget accessories and protective cases. In fact, there aresome people who post their step-by-step instruction in making origami cases for different gadgets. You can just search for this pattern on the Internet.

6. Juice box case

Don’t throw away that empty juice box yet. You can use it in making recycled cases for your gadget.All you have to do is clean up the juice box, and cut it according to your gadget’s size. Stick the carton together and add designs.

7. Old notebook case

Are you into foldable cases? Then you can just get that cover of your old notebook and cut your gadget outlines from it. Just secure the case with adhesive materials and customize it if you want.

High quality gadget protective cases are pretty costly. So why go to the market and buy an expensive gadget protector when you can your own gadget case? Just gather your preferred materials, draw patterns, cut out the outlines, stick them together, make finishing touches and voila!
