We were so excited to finally get to see the newest Winnie the Pooh movie! When I was in California I was able to meet some of the people involved with the making of this wonderful movie. We even were able to watch part of it! It was super exciting for me to meet real animators! It was always something I had an interest in. In fact, I still have my Disney Light Up Drawing Table! Do you remember those? Did you have one? I used to practice drawing all of the Disney Characters, now Lauren uses it to do the same thing I once did.
After seeing the sneak peek of the movie, they handed each of us a large envelope. What was in that envelope was one of the single most coolest things I have ever owned. It was a hand drawn original sketch from the movie! Not a copy…an original! Signed and labeled with the frame number! So exciting! They even sent me home with a Piglet Plush Doll and a Winnie the Pooh coffee mug. It was the best time!
The girls have probably watched this movie on DVD over 20 times already! They love Winnie the Pooh and think he is hilarious! When I ask Lauren what she likes best she says “All of it!” and “When Winnie the Pooh falls in the hole and he got a pot stuck on his head!“. Emma says “All of it!” and “When he is hungry and tummy growls!“. Emma also says “Rabbit put the wrong hats on Piglet and Winnie the Pooh!“.
It’s so cool to share these classic characters in a new movie with my girls!

The all-new “Winnie the Pooh” brings back to life the timeless charm, wit and whimsy of the original featurettes and characters. Sure to become a family favorite for every household, it is directed by Stephen Anderson (Meet The Robinsons) and Don Hall (The Princess and The Frog) and Executive Produced by John Lasseter.
Blu-ray ™Bonus Features:
- Exclusive bonus short “Mini-Adventures of Winnie the Pooh: The Balloon” – In this charming short, Pooh comes up with a daring plan to get a hold of some honey by fooling a group of bees.
- “The Ballad of Nessie” – The animated short film included in the theatrical release is the heartwarming tale of how Nessie found her new home in the Loch Ness.
- “Winnie the Pooh and His Story Too” – A fun and informative behind-the-scenes look at the film, designed for the whole family. Hosted by John Cleese (narrator of the film), and with occasional help from Pooh himself, this featurette explores Winnie the Pooh?s history from his beginnings as a character in a book, to his continued life in the movies. The filmmakers reveal how they worked to keep the look of the characters and settings in this movie consistent with their first appearances on-screen in 1966. Pooh, being a bear of very little mind, finds much of this confusing, but the Narrator and the filmmakers make it all clear to Pooh – and you!

I love the whole thing because it reminds me so much of the A. A. Milne books I had as a child. The writing style is so different than the new version of Winnie the Pooh (also cute, but just not the same). This is a throwback to that older style and I just adore it. But I particularly like the scenes of Pooh in the bee outfit seemingly dreaming of honey.
I love Eeyore pulling the ducky with his tail.
Aww I love when they’re all walking across the bridge, reminds me of a lamp I had when I was younger!
I love when Eeyore has the umbrella tail!
I like all of Eeyore’s tails!
i like the floating red balloon !!
A simple Hello would do! Thank you VERY much! -pooh to TIgger
My son reminds me of TIgger. If you asked him to stop bouncing it would take away his spirit.
I love Eeyore pulling the duck with his tail and all the stuff they kept attaching to his tail. Poor guy.
