Creating Spheres on Yoursphere

06.02.2010 by Girl on Fire // Leave a Comment

As part of the Yoursphere test drive team I was asked out to check out the Spheres within YourSphere.  Morgan had already joined a few and she showed me around.  If you haven’t signed up your kids yet, you can do so for free!

You can sign your kids up for their own free account by clicking here and entering YSMC-0002 in the referral box.

One of the many cool features of Yoursphere is the ability to make your own spheres!  You just take a topic that interests you and build a sphere of information around it.  There are spheres about all sorts of things.  Some of Morgans favorites spheres are: “Our World” and “Animals”.  By checking out the spheres you will find other tweens that share common interests.

It’s easy to make your own spheres to share information about the things you love.  Morgan recently set up a sphere called Fun Photography.  This sphere will obviously be about fun things you can do with your photos, taking pictures and about free web software to play with your photos.

ys_tdm_badge5_125[1]To build your own sphere you must do the following:

  • Pick a topic that interests you.
  • Choose a title.
  • Write a description.
  • Add content and photos.
  • Share your sphere with others!

There are categories that you will want to browse and choose which category your sphere will fit best in.  That way others that have the same interests can find it as well.  Morgan created her new sphere in no time at all.  So what are you waiting for?  Go share your knowledge with others!  Have a favorite band?  Share the info!  Favorite place?  Share it!

Have fun making spheres!  Morgan and I will look forward to seeing them!

I wrote this review while participating in the Yoursphere Test Drive program by Mom Central on behalf of Yoursphere. I received a free lifetime Gold membership on Yoursphere.com, Yoursphere t-shirts, and a $50 American Express gift card to facilitate my review.
