How Busy Moms Can Still Make Skin Care a Priority

09.23.2019 by Girl on Fire // Leave a Comment

Being a mom means having a never-ending to-do list, forever drinking cold coffee, and spending more time on getting your children ready for school than on your own skincare or beauty routine. However, there are ways in which busy moms can still make skin care a priority. Below are some quick-fix skin care tips that will save your complexion.

skin care

SPF

Even if you step out completely bare-faced without a stitch of makeup on, always make the small effort to apply sunblock. A sunblock with SPF 30 will protect your skin from the harsh sun’s rays and, in turn, ward off wrinkles for a long time to come. The great news is that there is sunblock for every skin type, so if you have an oily complexion, fear not. You’re sure to find a product that provides maximum protection without resulting in greasy build-up throughout the day.

Remember that it’s important to wear sunblock all year round, not just during the summer months.

BB cream

Not all moms with young kids have time to put on a full face of makeup, especially when it comes to foundation. That’s where BB cream comes in. This incredible makeup product is essentially a tinted moisturizer that can aid in ensuring a smooth, more even skin tone in seconds. It’s easy to apply and offers light coverage, along with a host of skin care benefits, that will leave you looking and feeling your best.

Microcurrent therapy

Don’t have the time to spend applying countless anti-aging lotions and potions every evening before bed and every morning before the children wake up? You’re not alone. The next best thing is to consider getting microcurrent therapy which will help to keep the early signs of aging at bay. During a microcurrent facial, a low level current is applied to the face, mimicking the body’s natural current and providing both instant and cumulative anti-aging results. The good news is that microcurrent therapy is generally pain-free due to the fact that microcurrent works sub-sensory. Think long-lasting anti-aging effects and a bit of me-time wrapped all into one.

Eat well

When the kids are demanding chicken nuggets and fries, there’s no time to cook a healthy, gourmet meal for you and your partner. Luckily, there’s no need to. The best thing that you can do for your skin is to switch your diet to fresher, raw foods. Not to say that you can’t indulge in something sweet or carb-heavy from time to time, but for the most part, try to focus on eating food in its most natural state. Leafy greens, ripe, juicy fruit, and grains galore. All of these food items can work wonders for your skin with or without a long-winded skin care regime in place. Plus, you’ll likely notice a drastic improvement in your energy levels too.

Make a few tweaks to your daily routine, and you’ll be sure to notice a drastic difference in the health and appearance of your complexion. After all, busy moms want beautiful skin too!
