There’s No Good Or Bad: Changes Are What You Make Of Them

01.26.2017 by Girl on Fire // 2 Comments

Have you noticed how people react differently to changes? Some embrace the new routine like a new best friend, and others reject it without giving it even a chance. That is because most people have an inbuilt opinion of changes, and it can either be very positive or very negative. In truth, there’s no such thing as a good or a bad change. From a new house to a new job, what happens in life is purely anecdotic and factual. You are the one to decide of the bearing it will have on your own life. However it is important to approach every new direction like a chance of making something great, and here’s how to see the bright side of life:

Don’t Fear Medical And Health Changes

For some, developing a medical condition is like a punishment that life would inflict on them. In truth, illnesses are not there to punish you, even though some might be linked to the bad things of your past. For example, if you are suffering from diabetes, this could be because of an unhealthy diet. But more importantly, a medical condition doesn’t define who you are. It may have an impact on your diet or your movements, but it shouldn’t change who you are inside. Receiving treatments for a damaged body or mind can be really hard, especially when you take into consideration some of the side effects of strong medication. Consequently, it may indeed seem logical to think that your life is doomed to be defined by pain and medication. But this is not true, and you are still the master of your life. You can take back control, with the support of your doctor, and learn to manage your condition without being a victim of it anymore.

Changing House Is Discovering New Places

Moving house can be stressful, as for many it means abandoning everything you have built and losing your friends. While there is some truth in this way of thinking, a home move can be seen as a fresh new start. Think of it as a way to reload the level in a video game: You are playing the same game, yet you can now avoid all the traps that have hurt you during the first try. Be positive about discovering a new place when you look for the best moving companies; this is a brilliant way to enrich your soul and meet new people.

Changing Job And Learning New Skills

While it might seem comfortable to stay with the same company, sometimes it’s best for your career to make a job move. Starting with a new company and meeting new colleagues can be stressful, especially as you learn to fit into the new office life. However, it’s good to embrace the new challenge with optimism: When you change job, you take your learning with you and get ready to develop new skills as you work on new projects. Don’t feel nervous about this new world: You will gain a lot in knowledge by changing your work environment.

It is Freezing in the Living Room

The windows in the living room are not all that great.  The couch happens to be right in front of those windows.  When we sit down in the evenings to watch TV there is a cold draft just blowing through the windows.  Right now there are only blinds up and this does not block out […]
