It’s Circus time again here in the DFW area! We had a blast hanging out before the show with some of the performers including the new Ring Master, Alex Ramon. We were at the Old No. 7 Club at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
This was opening night at the circus! The party was filled with food, drinks and fun!
I even found a clown that I actually liked! He was sarcastic and even snatched my bag and went thru it. I like a clown with guts!
His name is Todd…
This year, with the introduction of Ring Master Alex Ramon, there was a lot of Magic in the show! We loved this awesome addition to the circus!
This years show, called “Zing, Zang, Zoom” blows last year away! The only thing I missed from last year were the caged motorcycle riders. They were so cool and I had hoped to see them again this year.
There were a lot of great new additions that the we ooooed and ahhhhhed over! There was even an act that performed completely upside down! I had never seen anything like it!
There were no traditional trapeze artists either…but there were exciting new acts that were similar to that, but even better! I think you and your family will have a blast at the circus this year! I have tons more photos to post and will have them on my flickr.
They will be in Ft. Worth, Texas Aug 11, 2010 – Aug 15, 2010.
You can click here to find out when they are coming to your area!
My family was provided with free tickets to Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus by Feld Entertainment.

Your review sounds a ton like the draft I’ve written for mine! I missed the motorcycles but loved the new stuff!! It was a great show. 🙂
Looks like fun! Unfortunately we had to skip the circus this year because this summer has been so busy.
Love Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus. I haven’t seen this one yet, but someday.
As a parent with children who believe animals should be treated humanely, we will never attend any Ringling Bros. Circus event. After I saw with my own eyes Ringling’s abusive baby elephant training techniques that family tradition of going to the circus came to a grinding halt. I knew if my family continued to go to the circus we would be perpetuating the abuse of these animals. You too can see this irrefutable evidence. In 2009 Sammy Haddock who worked for Ringling training elephants for years revealed many pictures he had personally took while at work and behind closed doors of Ringling’s baby elephants training sessions. The Public can finally seeing what goes on behind closed gates at Ringling’s CEC.

When I called Ringling’s Public Relations inquiring about these baby elephant photos, they assured me that such practices are no longer employed. They tell you about Ringling Bros. 200 acre Center for Elephant Conservation where the elephants can retire and roam to their heart content, (they don’t mention the elephants are chained up to 16 hours a day in a barn) and how dedicated they are to the conservation of the elephant species, they mention the 24 births they have had but they fail to mention their 27 elephants that have died during that same time frame mostly from ongoing circus related injuries.
Most of us have animals that live with us that we love very much and we would never condone someone beating our animals with something that looks like a fire place poker, but that is how the circus industry treats their animals just to entertain us. I would like to believe that we are a compassionate society and if other parents and children knew about these circus animals being abused to entertain them they would never attend another circus that has performing exotic animals again.
