Instagram, You Broke My Heart…

12.18.2012 by Girl on Fire // 3 Comments

I loved Instagram, I was pretty much addicted to it.  Maybe that means this is a good thing, the changes they made encouraged me to delete my account.  So no longer will I be feeding my addiction through them.

Why did I delete my account?  Well make that 2 accounts…yes I was a huge Instagram junkie…I had 2 accounts.  This is why:

I personally took that screenshot, but you can see it for yourself in the new Instagram terms of use policy.  Yes, it means that they can profit off of our images and we have no right to say how they use it and better yet…we will not be compensated in anyway.

My accounts are gone, so long Instagram friends…

If you need to delete your account, you can do easily.  If you want to download your Instagram images before deleting  you can do that too.

My husband was just telling me about this. I don’t use instagram – but I think that is an AWFUL policy. I heard a lot of people are going back to Flickr now. Sorry for your loss :’-|

I’m deleting mine today, too. I had planned to do it when Facebook bought them, but a couple of friends convinced me to stay because they were saying nothing would change.

I figure I can just use Pixlr to edit my photos and post them wherever I want. Not as elegant but it’ll have to do.
