I’ve never been the mom that let her kids play with her cell phones or other non toy items. But now that my girls are older, I do let them use my iPad. Heck, knowing me, I’ll be the one to break it. I think I need an Impact Folio Case to keep it safe from my klutzy hands.
Tech21, the leader in impact protection for smartphones, tablets and laptops, recently polled more than 3,000 individuals about their tablet use and discovered some key findings:
- 81 percent of parents report that their child has broken their tablet
- One in four parents had to pay to fix their tablet screen in the past year
- Nearly half of parents (45 percent) said the most common cause of tablet damage was from getting in and out of a car, or leaving it on top of a car
- 41 percent of parents let their child use their tablets for more than one hour per day
- 14 percent of parents confessed to using their tablet in the restroom
