Handwritten Cards on a Budget

04.20.2022 by Mattie Cook // Leave a Comment

I don’t know about y’all, but receiving a handwritten card makes me feel special! I am the kind of person who really appreciates a card, it makes me feel like I mean something to you and I can look back on them if I am having a low day.

I also love giving cards to people and adding a positive message to help boost their day. The only thing I don’t like about cards is the price and let’s be honest these days I don’t seem to have enough time for little tasks like writing and mailing a card. But just because I don’t have the time, doesn’t mean I want to miss out on making someone feel special.

Being a busy single mom, I oftentimes forget to pick up things like birthday or Christmas cards while I am at the store and I cannot convince myself to drag my grumpy toddler to the store for one item. I try very hard to stay on top of things, but let’s be honest; when life is busy things tend to fall through the cracks. But let me tell y’all what I found… a website that writes and sends cards for you! They even have an app and it takes just a few minutes to send the card!

Now y’all may think that sounds very impersonal, like…why would a typed-up card mean anything? But! You can actually submit your own handwriting and the website copies it for you! There’s also a variety of handwriting options to choose from, but I think getting to use your own is the coolest! But at the same time, my handwriting can be pretty sloppy sometimes, so maybe I will try out one of their many handwriting font options. Then my loved ones can actually read what I have to say and appreciate it a bit more!

You get to choose the design of the card you’re wanting to send, whether it be for a birthday, holiday, get well card, or even a thank you card. Then you get to choose the text you want to have printed on it, add some details, and bam! That’s it! I think my favorite thing about this is the fact that there is an app for your phone and I can send a card from literally anywhere! No need to calm my toddler and sit down to write a card, I can send it on my phone while sitting on my couch watching Mickey Mouse!

This website is super cool and has singular cards as well as monthly subscription options. The average price per card is $3.25 plus postage, which definitely beats five bucks a pop from the grocery store! They have different options for the subscription service depending on the number of cards you plan on sending per month and even bulk options for larger businesses. I think this is a super clever way to check in with business clients and send greeting cards for customers. I myself will be using it for just about everything! Maybe I will actually start sending out yearly Christmas cards and finally, feel like I have my life together! LOL.

Batter UP! My Teenagers New Business!

My oldest daughter Morgan is an awesome baker. She has been baking for a few years now and just has this natural talent for it. I’m not sure where this talent comes from, while I am a good cook…I fail horribly at baking. Last year Morgan took orders at Christmas as well as fundraising with […]
