Del Taco is one of those fast food places that we do happen to go to once in awhile.  The girls LOVE the tacos there!  So, the other day we headed out to check out the new Del Taco Fresca Bowls.

The Del Taco Fresca Bowls are priced at only $4 and come in the following varieties:

• Southwest Grilled Chicken & Veggie Bowl combines fresh-grilled chicken and a blend of fire-roasted, red and green bell peppers, caramelized onions and flavorful Poblano pepper 
• Pollo Asado Grilled Chicken Bowl is made with marinated, fresh-grilled chicken, hand-chopped pico de gallo salsa, onions and cilantro 
• Fire Roasted Veggie Bowl features Del Taco’s tangy green chile sauce, freshly-chopped pico de gallo salsa, and a blend of roasted vegetables 

I chose to try the Pollo Asado Grilled Chicken Bowl.  It was so tasty and SO filling!  I couldn’t even finish my bowl!

I let the girls try it and they liked it too, it is just the perfect amount of spicy so that it isn’t overwhelming.  Next time I am going to try the Fire Roasted Veggie Bowl.  The Pollo Asado Grilled Chicken Bowl (500 calories) and Southwest Grilled Chicken & Veggie Bowl (530 calories) are each loaded with 4.5 ounces of fresh-grilled chicken per serving.  The Fire Roasted Veggie Bowl (450 calories) is a great meatless option.

My girls chose to stick with their favorites…soft and hard shell tacos!
