Disneyland Trip

11.27.2015 by Girl on Fire // Leave a Comment

Going to Disneyland is a dream come true for most children – but it needs to be coordinated right for the maximum enjoyment of both parents and the little ones. First, stop worrying about your budget, as there are a number of coupons available at Discountrue.com for you to shop at Kohl’s at affordable prices, which will help you get ready for the trip. After taking care of that factor, there are many tips and hacks you should remember about to have the fun of your life. Read on to learn some of them:

1. Choose Adjacent Lodging

This one can be particularly tricky since every hotel and motel in the area claims to offer close access to the park. Be sure to plan in advance, so that you can book a hotel that is within walking distance of the park, without having to dip into Junior’s college fund to do so. This keeps you from dealing with the inevitable traffic jams that accompany the trip to and from the park each day and you’ll also save time on finding parking.

2. Arrive Early

This one shouldn’t be a problem for the little ones, who will certainly be chomping at the bit. The early bird typically gets the worm and this well-worn cliché is certainly true for the Magic Kingdom. If you’re looking to steer clear of the long lines, get to the park by 8 a.m.. The least crowded period tends to take place between 8 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., so use this time wisely and hit up all of the most popular rides.

3. Take Breaks

Our previous tip dovetails neatly into this one. Allowing your children to get an earlier start means giving them a chance to take a breather during the early to mid afternoon hours. Children will benefit greatly from receiving a respite from the unforgiving and have more stamina later in the day. And by choosing a nearby hotel, families can easily make their way back for a quick nap and a relaxed lunch.

4. Take In A Show

Disneyland is hot and filled with crowds, which can test the patience of both adults and children. By taking in a show, you are both able to take a nice break and sit in an air-conditioned room for 45 minutes. You won’t receive many opportunities to see performances of this caliber, so be sure to get out of the sun and provide your children with a well-rounded park experience.

5. Grab A Drink

This one’s geared towards the parents. The Hearthstone Lounge, conveniently located in the Grand Californian Hotel, gives parents the chance to kick their feet up and enjoy a much-deserved adult beverage after spending an entire day wrangling children. Even the best parents could certainly use a break to have a cold one every once in a while.
