I have never ever ever left my house on Black Friday before. I was quite afraid to do so on Friday, but I gathered up some courage, took some calms forte’ and ventured out with my oldest daughter, Morgan. Much to my surprise, it wasn’t bad at all!
We headed for the Sam’s Club Holiday Blitz! Sam’s Club had everything displayed that was on sale and plenty of employees on hand. The awesome manager was on the floor and remembered and greeted us right away! People were buying up T.V’s and Wii’s like mad! They had some excellent deals on these items and much more.
They have a great assortment of DVD’s and while these were not on a Black Friday special I was able to locate several titles that I know my family would enjoy at great prices.
There were some very awesome deals on GPS units and they were selling super fast! That TomTom was under $60!
Check out these awesome Pj’s I found at Sam’s Club! My girls would be so adorable in these! The price was definitely right too!
We love Lincoln Logs at our house! In fact we have three sets! I found this Lincoln Log Train set at Sam’s Club and this will be a big hit for my family!
I can say that since I had such a great experience at Sam’s Club on Black Friday, I will definitely be doing it again next year! Thanks for a wonderful shopping experience!

my husbands work schedule is NUTS and we NEVER get out together alone..the only day off he has is wednesday and thats a busy day because we have church stuff going on…our kids arent old enough to stay alone and we are relatively new in town and dont know anyone to watch our kids except my parents and they have alot going on with work, etc. uurrgg..we havent been out alone in about 9 months!

That’s awesome Nancy. Last year my 10 year old asked that people give to charity, his fave was Heifer International and World Vision…I’m always so proud of him, he’s always thinking of others.
People were so surprised that he didn’t want any gifts, wanting them to give to a charity instead of get him toys.

Yeah, I think all the kids we know have so much, it’s crazy. We have been trying to really cut back and not over-do it with our kids and really think of the many children in our communities and in other parts of the world who don’t have the basic necessities.
Thanks, but I think as adults you get to a point that you really don’t need anything (or at least anything anyone can afford to buy you) so you end up exchanging gift cards.

My DD’s 2nd Christmas picture she is screaming in…she hated the camera and the flash at the studio…we tried and tried but she just screamed so we sent it out anyway! LOL! She was so cute, too, in her fancy Christmas dress with tights and dress shoes…screaming away!
My husband and I don’t get each other gifts either for our big family get together we have a name draw each year and only the children get gifts for the person who they drew the name for.

for a few years i told my brother and his wife to buy for a salvation army “angel” instead of my kids but they never did. 🙁
this year i noticed that they have elderly “angels” so our family picked several of them to buy for. i just take it waaaay too far. i am so worried they will be cold or lonely..and i buy too much. but, its worth it.

One year we “adopted” a family to buy gifts for. Our entire extended family participated and got gifts for the family’s home, mom, dad, and each of the kids. This family really needed everything, it was so awesome to be able to get them what they need for a great Christmas for their family. I wish we’d do it again…
Shawn I have hardly any photos of myself under the age of 3 because I screamed whenever my mom tried to get my photo’s taken so she gave up for awhile.

my 3 year old was obsessed with Diego 2 years ago, then Caillou since last year and this year its mostly Max and Ruby. I got him a Caillou doll last year for his bday and had to order it online…got it, it spoke FRENCH. didnt realize it was a canadian show. He loved that $40 doll to death!

I use Aurora photo editing software on my computer to fix photos. I’m not sure if you can edit them at Snapfish or Shutterfly?
I also love getting Animal crackers because they last forever in our house and are a great go to snack when you’re hungry and not sure what you want!
