Wordless Wednesday with Linky

11.30.2011 by Girl on Fire // 56 Comments

Monday was my birthday.  I had saved up Amazon Gift Cards so that I could buy a new lens for my camera, I was only short $45 so that part was covered by my mom and dad as part of Christmas!  Thanks Mom and Dad!  I bought a Nikon 50mm f/1.8G AF-S NIKKOR!  It came Monday night and I was able to use it Tuesday for the first time!

It will definitely take some getting used to, I shoot a lot with my 300mm…so it’s a huge change!  Here are a few shots of my girls that I took with it yesterday.

Morgan got an awesome new hair cut!  I love it!

Morgan's new hair cut!
Morgan's new hair cut 2!Lauren’s top two teeth are extremely loose!  They should come out any day!  Maybe today is the day?  They are so loose that they stick out over her lip hahaha!
Lauren's about to loose her top two teeth!
Her loose teeth make it looks like she has buck teeth haha!Lauren loves to climb trees, her daddy gave her this tree in our front yard.  She loves her tree!
Lauren's Tree!Emma was running around and slipped on a stick!  Yes a stick!  Don’t worry!  I had already given her hugs and kisses before taking this photo.  She was just telling me what happened.
Emma fell downJust minutes later she is back to normal…she really needs some chapstick!

      Thanks…
I really don’t have a spectacular camera though…I think it has more to do with the fact that I have been shooting for over half my life (which is a long time with my most recent birthday added in….ugh….I’m old!). I have a lot of practice and shoot every day whether it is a client or just for me. That is the biggest thing…shoot EVERYDAY. The camera is just a tool…so no matter what camera you have…just shoot!
