We spend a lot of time outside just exploring nature. It really is good for the heart, mind and soul. Since spring is in full spring, there are so many critters to be seen.
My girls have taken in a new pet and I am really clueless on what this guy is called. We were first told he was an Asp, but I don’t see any Asp’s online that look like him.
So I am looking to you guys to help some girls out and tell us just what sort of critter we got so we know what it will turn into.
We were able to figure out that he eats the leaves of a crepe myrtle. So the girls are keeping him stocked and he is in our Caterpillar/Butterfly habitat hanging in Morgan’s room.
So can you help us out and tell us what this is called so we can learn more about it and what it will turn into?

No clue! Hopefully you can see what it turns into and tell us!
As long as it doesn’t die I guess we will figure it out when it changes 🙂
I love caterpillars! It looks like a Pyrrharctia isabella — Isabella Tiger Moth but it’s hard to tell. This site has tons of caterpillar pics with descriptions. http://www.pbase.com/crocodile/image/50545637
