What to Do When You’re Expecting Twins

02.13.2013 by Girl on Fire // Leave a Comment

If you’re expecting twins you may find yourself wondering how you’re going to cope with having two babies to care for and worry about. You’re not alone in this; many women who find out their having twins realize that they have no idea what to expect, and no idea how to prepare.

Preparing for Twins

If you’ve just been told you’re expecting twins, the best thing to do is to get in touch with other people who’ve had multiple births. There are plenty of clubs and online forums available in which parents of twins get together to share their experiences and swap tips and tricks for looking after more than one baby.

As well as seeking advice about looking after your twins, you should also begin to consider what you will need to buy in advance of your due date.

What to Buy When You’re Having Twins

twinsShopping for twin babies is pretty much the same as shopping for one – you just need to double up on everything! But there are some ways in which you can combine purchases to make your preparations more cost effective and easier to manage.

For example, instead of buying two single pushchairs, consider buying a double pushchair which can accommodate both of your babies. Click here for double pushchairs from Britax, and to find out more about the safety technology involved in their innovate travel systems.
