This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Ramblers Way. All opinions are 100% mine.
I was asked what Made in America meant to me.
Made in America, by my definition, means using our own resources and people to support all of our needs. It means shopping local produce grown by local farmers. It means going in with a friend and purchasing a local raised cow for meat. It means buying Eggs from your friend with the Chickens.
It also means using what we already have available and making it function again! From an old car at the Junk Yard, to that building being neglected on the downtown square of our small towns.
I love our local downtown square! The town is called Denton and the buildings are awesome! The courthouse has been restored and is used, it also houses a museum of local history! The shops are still in their glory with vintage goodness! Bonnie and Clyde even hid out here!
It saddens me to drive through towns that could be like the local square. I don’t understand why they want to tear apart the beauty and the history that already exists all over America to build the cookie cutter ugliness of today. I love that there are people and companies out there that are willing to refurbish what exists to use today.
Ramblers Way Farm is one of those companies! They grow and produce their fine woolen apparel using 100% domestic resources. They have brought manufacturing facilities into distressed small towns which in turn will revitalize these communities. The coolest thing…they took a building built in 1972 and refurbished it to it’s original condition with upgrades to make it function in our modern day. This building is located in downtown Kennebunk, Maine.
So tell me, what is it like in your town?
