I am sure you know the LeapFrog name and are familiar with some of the interactive learning toys and games they have. Recently we invited some of our friends over to have a LeapFrog Party! It was pretty crazy! Me and 6 little girls! Whoa…whose idea was this? Oh yea, mine! Really though, the kids were great and they were occupied the whole time. There wasn’t even any fighting! The girls all played and shared the toys so well!
We had a few different activities! The first was some coloring pages and get to know you time. Some of our friends knew each other from American Heritage Girls and some were just meeting each other. So while they colored I led conversation to get them talking so that everyone would be comfortable.
After the girls were finished coloring Lauren, Emma and I introduced our friends to the LeapFrog LeapPad Explorer Learning Tablet! If you are looking for the big ticket Christmas item for your child, I highly recommend this! My girls have not even asked to play with my iPod Touch since they got the LeapPad! Seriously! That is huge! In fact I find myself trying to bug them to play with the LeapPad. They really won’t let me though…

They had a blast taking photos of each other and recording answers to create the About Me stories. There was a lot of silliness going on and there were times that the girls were so hysterical I couldn’t understand what they were saying!
It was such a beautiful day so we moved the party outside for awhile! The girls continued playing with the LeapPad and some played “Frog. Frog, Toad” (Duck, Duck, Goose). Again, a lot of silliness went on!
After while outside we headed back in where there was more laughter and goofiness. These kids were a riot! They played some games with the LeapFrog TAG Reading System and LeapFrog Tag World Map. Some of them thought the Map was a bit hard and needed help. They still enjoyed it and with time I am sure they would have gotten it on their own.
They love the Tag Reader with the books and spent a lot of time reading the stories individually and together.
Tag™ Reading System – Tag is the #1 selling reading system and recommended by 99% of teachers to help kids learn to love reading. Tag brings stories to life with each touch of the interactive Reader to the pages of specially printed storybooks. Words talk, pictures come to life and stories live out loud, engaging children’s senses to make reading a rich, fulfilling experience. Children can use Tag as they begin their own personal learn-to-read journeys, then continue to enjoy it as their skills grow, from hearing an entire story read aloud to seeking help with individual words. With a library of 40+ books, maps and more, children can also take the fun beyond reading with fun play patterns that broaden curriculum experiences such as exploring other cultures, building skills in life science or even learning how to write!
I think you can tell what the star of the party was! The LeapPad for sure! These products are definitely going in the gift guide!
