When we moved this last time we didn’t have a microwave oven to move with us because there was one hooked to the stove. Well, our new house does not have that and we never went to get one. At first it was alright. No big deal….but now, I miss that dang thing! It sure would be nice to zap something once in awhile. I notice that some of the quick dinner night food is not even made to go in the oven! UGH! In fact something I wanted for lunch today said not for conventional ovens. I really wanted that for lunch too!
I prefer to do a lot of my shopping online. Even if I do not buy the item online, I can still use the internet to compare shopping prices. I’m a bargain hunter. I totally hate spending money, even if it is on something that will get used pretty much daily. It’s just hard to watch that money go bye bye…so long, farewell. Atleast if I get a great deal I can feel better about that money being spent.
Getting good shopping deals is like playing a game for me. The better the deal, the better I feel. It can be a lot of fun to see how much you can get for a fraction of what others have spent. The internet is the best tool to get that deal! I mean with blogs dedicated to deals you have a lot of your work done for you!

Microwaves are great investments according to all the energy experts. They say it is much cheaper than using the conventional oven/stove and to use it as much as you can. Especially if yours is big enough to put two or three bowls in at once. It helps so much to be able to cook double or triple portions when you make meals, freeze them and nook them when needed. More time for you kiddo which you do not have enough of. I would die without mine! A microwave is right up there with my coffeepot! Gotta have it!
I use my microwave mostly for reheating leftovers or items I too have double or triple batched the first time around. It sure saves of electricity for reheating. My stove is electric, and if we use it you should see the electric meters go up real fast, whereas the electric meter numbers do not go up as fast using the microwave, nor does it usually take as long to warm something up in the microwave as compared to the stove or oven.
Yea, I bet it would make a difference on the electric bill around here!
Heyyy Im not the only one!! I haven’t had a microwave for 3 years now. I was so used to having one before- used it for everything. Now we warm up everything on the stove top or in the oven. Sometimes a PITA but I got used to it! The only thing I miss is microwave popcorn
