We Collect Crafting Supplies with the Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler! #Giveaway

05.24.2012 by Girl on Fire // 31 Comments

Ask any homeschooler what they spend a lot of their time doing and most of them will tell you creating.  We are no different.  In fact, we work arts in crafts in as much as we possibly can.  We also try to keep the supply cost down by using recycled materials.

Rubbermaid sent me a Hidden Recycler to try out and it is now I craft supply collection hub!  Before we had the Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler, the items that were to be recycled were stacked on the floor near the garbage can.  In the way and looking a bit…well…trashy!

The Hidden Recycler attaches to the inside of a cabinet door to collect recyclables out of sight and keeps your counters clear. The bag is durable, machine washable, and made of recycled material. Collect your recyclables and then easily lift the bag from the lid and cabinet by the handle to take them out to your recycle bin.

  • Hinged lid attaches to cabinet door with over the door hooks or screws
  • Bag is made from 65% post-consumer resin
  • Bag is machine washable
  • Comfortable handle for transport
  • 5 gallon bag holds 36 uncrushed cans and is large enough to fit 1 gallon milk jugs
  • Great for single stream recyclers
  • Great for apartment living

We have been using it to collect the cardboard rolls from toilet paper and paper towels.  We have also been collecting plastic bottles as well as milk jugs!  This has been fantastic for keeping my crafty kids busy, not draining my pockets and teaching the girls more about recycling!

We have ours hooked inside the cabinet door that is under our sink.  It has not taken up any room at all and now our floor is not so trashy looking anymore!

This is a product that I would recommend useful for anyone that I know!  It truly makes organizing your recyclables much easier!

Rubbermaid has all sorts of ideas for making it easier for you to be organized at home!  Be sure to check out their blog called Adventures in Organization for great tips and ideas!  You can also like Rubbermaid on Facebook to keep up with what the brand has going on.

The Hidden Recycler is currently available for purchase online at Rubbermaid.com and in store at Meijer.

The Giveaway!

One Not So Average Mama reader will win a Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler.  This is valued around $15.99 and is the suggested retail price. However, prices at retail may vary and are controlled by the retailer.

This Giveaway will end on May 27th, 2012!

I would love this, right now I have a bag full of things to be recycled on the floor in the kitchen. When it’s full we walk it to the garage. It looks horrible!

We already have a recycle container, but I would love this as a convenient place to put our cloth “paper towels”. We are currently running them to the laundry room after every use. This would be so much better!

Well right now my recyclables are being tossed in front of the front door. Pretty icky especially with people coming in and out. We need organization.
