Meet our awesome Walt Disney Studios lot tour guide, Jeffrey Epstein…
He is full of knowledge of all things Disney, seriously…like a walking Disney encyclopedia! He is part of D23.com, which is the official Disney Fan Club. He was the perfect person to educate us on the secrets of the Walt Disney Studios lot and pointed out some really cool things to us! We met him at Studio A which was part of Mary Poppins history!
One of the first things we saw on our tour was the Hyperion Bungalow. It was the original home of Disney Publicity and Comic Strip Departments. It was built way back in 1935. I wish we could have went inside! It is called the Hyperion Bungalow because it was actually built on Hyperion Avenue in Hollywood and then moved to this location.
We got to walk around a lot! Lookie lookie….
Oh and what do we have here…
I reallllllly want a Disney Studios Lot bike…they’re everywhere…….
I love the water tower!
I love how they have some of the original buildings still there. I think it is obvious what they did here…
When you go see Saving Mr. Banks, watch for some of these locations…
This is from one of my favorite scenes in Saving Mr. Banks!
I had a really amazing time on the tour and would love to do it again. We learned so much about the films that were made on the sound stages. We also learned how some sets were recycled for other movies. Interesting stuff!
No compensation was received for this post and all opinions are my own. My travel accommodations for this trip were covered by Disney.
