Using Coinstar to Add Funds to My Paypal Account, So Easy! #PaypalCoinstar #CBias

03.23.2012 by Girl on Fire // Leave a Comment

I have used Coinstar many times to cash in our spare change.  But, I had never used it to with my Paypal account until today.

Did you know that you can deposit funds into your Paypal right from the Coinstar machine?  You can deposit cash or you can cash in your change and had it added to your Paypal account.

To do this we headed to Brookshires.  I had never been there before and I was interested in checking it out.

Yes, I totally know I cut the B off in this photo.  Oops!  I had my hands full of money!

It was super easy to find the machine.  It wasn’t right in the entrance, which is good…I don’t want anyone walking up behind me and jacking me for my cash ya know?  It was all the way inside the doors at the end of where the registers are.

There are few different ways you can use the Coinstar machine with your Paypal account.

You can add coins to make a deposit, add cash (bills) or you can withdrawl.  This time I am here to make a deposit with coins, I think the fee is reasonable on this feature..  The fee on the cash (bills) deposit is enough to make me not use that feature unless I absolutely needed to.  You can view all the steps that I took like entering my account info, fine print reading, etc over on my Google+ album.

You can see the fee for cashing in coins to paypal…

Once it tells you to, you simple pour that change into the tray…

(That is not my arm…that is Jeremy helping me out so I could take photos.)

I really had no idea how much money I had in my coin jar…I was a bit shocked when I seen the total!

Isn’t that awesome??  Now instead of sitting around the house it is in my Paypal account.  It prints you our a receipt for your records when you are finished.

All in all…super easy!  I would definitely use this feature again to cash in my change to Paypal.

You can learn more by following Coinstar and Paypal on Facebook and Twitter:

Like I said, this was the first time I had been in Brookshire’s and I love it!  They sell a lot of local products there, including meat!  We prefer to get products that are Texas made, so this is fantastic.  I will definitely head over there to buy local meat for my family.

I have been paid (at Coinstar’s request) to try and blog about Coinstar’s products/services as part of a Collective Bias shopper insights study. All opinions are my own.  #PayPalCoinstar #CBias
