I’m originally from Michigan. I don’t miss it at all, but there were defined seasons. Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. All with very different weather. Yes, occasionally you will have a warmer winter day…but nothing extreme.
Then one day (almost 9 years ago) I moved to Texas. Texas is a whole different kind of place. There really isn’t any sort of defined season. The weather can change on you in the blink of an eye. You can literally experience a little bit of every season in only one day. Craziness!
This cartoon below totally illustrates Texas weather! Don’t go anywhere with out a tank top, shorts, jeans, hoodie, winter coat, hat, gloves and maybe a bathing suit!

hahhaha! That is so funny – In NC..it could be raining in your front yard and sunny in your backyard…haha!
Hilarious! I’m from Houston and we do indeed have 4 seasons: December, January, February and Summer!
Thank for a good laugh–I’m sharing this one!
So funny and so true about Wisconsin!
A couple of years ago we visited my step-son & DIL in Spring Branch, TX for Christmas and there were seriously days like that. I had to crack up at that cartoon because I literally didn’t know how to dress each day we went out – I went from freezing in the morning to sweating in the afternoon. =)
I think I’ll stick with my Florida weather.
I loved TX when we went there! Probably because it was still snowing up North and there was a taste of warm weather and a beach involved.
Texas varies so much, I guess because it is so big! We like the East side of the state much more than the West side !
Trade ya when the snow is 2′ deep and the winds are howling! Of course I might wanna trade back when it is 120 down there 🙂
Ain’t that the dad gum truth!
I have never been to Texas, but Missouri is just as bad!! Once a couple of years back, it was either January, or February, and had been an unseasonably warm week. It was about 3pm on a Monday, and was about 65-70, by 5pm it was down to 50, and by 7pm it was 30 and we were having an ice storm, and then snow through out the night……..so YES, I completely understand!!
