Time Enough for Love Advent Calendar! Perfect!

11.11.2011 by Girl on Fire // 6 Comments

The only kind of Advent Calendar we have ever had was the little window ones.  You open the window and there is a piece of chocolate in it.  They were boring.  This year we have the Time Enough for Love Advent Calendar and it is fantastic!  The girls are beyond themselves with excitement for December to get here.  It will help them to understand how many days are left until Christmas and give me some peace without answering that same question over and over again!

I love that this advent calendar can be reused if packed away properly.  It is cardboard, so you would have to be gentle and smart about your packing.

The Time Enough for Love Advent Calendars can be purchased already filled with 24 gifts. You can also purchase an empty one to fill yourself. I will be filling mine on my own.

Each little box can be filled with an awesome surprise!  Small toy?  Candy?  Chapstick?  Makeup?  Jewelry? Stuffed Animals?  There are so many possibilities!

Fun right?

Each day you pull the box out from the bottom and the next one drops down!

It also has a tab on the top for easy hanging on the wall.

Time Enough for Love Advent Calendars are available at www.timeenoughforlovecalendars.com, but you should place your order soon to get in time!

The Time Enough for Love Calendar line was created by Susan Faulkner, a Canadian toy store owner, who believes that each day in the month of December can be made a little brighter with an advent gift calendar. Susan created the line because, in this amazingly busy world, the connection that is created by a small gift can be meaningful to folks who want to be remembered by those they love. December, the month that is traditionally focused on family, can be a very lonely time for those who live alone or far away from the rest of their loved ones. The ongoing magic of an advent gift calendar is a daily reminder that the recipient is loved. For more information, visit www.timeenoughforlovecalendars.com.

That is oh so cute! I keep forgetting to pick up an advent calendar for my son (although I keep seeing them in the stores AFTER I’ve checked out). This would help me because I don’t have to remember to get it in the store AND I won’t have to buy another one next year.
