Tillamook has been around for over 100 years! Now that really says something about the brand. Today they are made up of nearly 110 dairy farm families who own TCCA (Tillamook County Creamery Association). Impressive!
Tillamook is a cooperative, not a corporation. This means that they are owned and operated by the people who “work the soil, milk the cows, and make decisions about the future of the company“.
It’s a given that they are dedicated to taking care of everything better than a corporation would be… at least in my opinion.
After all this time, they still use the same cheddar cheese recipe! I’m not a person that likes change. When something is great, why mess with it? Tillamook seems to know this…it’s no wonder they are still going strong!
I would love to have a chance to visit some of these farms and meet the families that run them. What a great experience that would be! I kind of wish I was raised places like this and knew what they did.
I really want to try their Yogurt! It has no artificial colors, flavors or sweeteners. I would feel better about feeding that to my kids. Mmmmm…how about some ice cream?
