ThunderSnap Quick-Connect Leash by ThunderWorks

07.20.2017 by Girl on Fire // Leave a Comment

Ok y’all, this is the coolest leash!  It’s called Thundersnap Quick-Connect Leash.  Plissken is a handful off leash and sometimes it can be a pain for me to get him hooked back up due to my hands not always working.  With the ThunderSnap all I have to do is get it close to the end and BAM, it connects!

ThunderWorks provided the ThunderSnap leash for me to facilitate this review.  No compensation was received and all opinions are my own.

ThunderSnap retails for $29.95 (currently only $22.45 with the LAUNCH SPECIAL – 25% Off Limited Time Only).  It is designed to make putting on a leash as quick and convenient of a process as possible. It uses powerful magnets and a strong ball-bearing latch mechanism to easily and securely connect to any standard dog collar.

Watch this video… Be advised that I was disoriented by filming and trying to do this at the same time.  It is really easy to do this one handed, but for some reason, while holding the camera in my other hand it gave me some issues…this was purely my issue and nothing to do with the ease of the leash.

ThunderSnap insanely simple quick-connect leash by Thunderworks. Tested to 500lbs of pulling force! Great for those with mobility issues…would be great for service dog use. #greatdane #anatolianshepherd #greatpyrenees #bigdogs #leash #chronicillness #dogs

At first, I was nervous! But this thing really works and it can withstand up to 500lbs of pulling force!  This is the XL size which says up to 100lbs.  Plissken is probably closer to 120lbs, but this worked just fine for him.  I do hope that they will add larger sizes for our giant breed dogs.

This would be so perfect for anyone that has an issue with their hands like I do.  I could see many service dog handlers loving this leash to quickly connect when they needed without stress.

It is a 5ft leash with a 1″ width.  The padded handle is nice and easier on the hands.  I do wish there was another grip closer to down as well and even a hands-free option.  Maybe in the future, they could add these options.
