The Verdict from the Eye Doctor, My Freak Pupil

03.11.2010 by Girl on Fire // 16 Comments

First of all, let me express to you how unhappy she was that I had not been back to get it checked sooner.  In my mind it was just a few months ago.  Apparently it was AUGUST! Ok…one more thing I have issues with is time.

She dilated my eyes and checked them out.  No scarring, No Tumor behind my eye and really No issues with my eye itself.   That is good news.  It is also bad news.  She said that my pupil reactions in my right eye are not normal.   My right eye has been dilated for who knows how long.  She noticed it in August…but we do not know how long it was like that before.

Did it happen in 2006 when I had the mini stroke?  Have I had more mini strokes and not known it?  No clue.  She said that the reaction of my pupil is a sign of a neurological issue (as I suspected). She said that alone is enough to need a CAT Scan and MRI.  She said factoring in all my other symptoms that I should get in ASAP.

Since I don’t have health insurance I will be calling a place in the morning that charges on a sliding scale.  This will  just be an appointment with a general practitioner.  I hope after seeing the doctor they can help me in choosing my next step in getting to the specialist and figuring out what I can do to get help with getting the testing done.

Who knows I may have to start selling and auctioning…anyone want to buy my used shoes?

Guess I should have read your other posts before commenting! That’s my fault for not looking at the date. I’m glad to know that you’re going in to get it checked out.
