The Murder Mystery Company #Dallas

08.28.2015 by Girl on Fire // Leave a Comment

Recently my friend Candy and I went on a date night to the The Murder Mystery Company in Dallas.  The Murder Mystery Company was founded in Michigan and runs their murder mystery dinner theater shows nationwide.  In Dallas the shows are held at Edison’s, 1724 Cockrell Ave., Dallas, TX 75215.

The building where they host The Murder Mystery Company is awesome.  As soon as we walked in there was a mugshot photo booth.  The actors were in character the entire time.

There were groups of friends, family and co-workers that attended together.  The show is great for the whole family that has older children (PG-10 rating).  I would not recommend bringing an infant.  If you do, you will have to purchase a full seat for them.  The noise probably would be an issue for a baby.

You can make it more fun by showing up in costume.  I saw several couples dressed up so nicely for the show, but it is not required.  In fact I wore a nice pair of jeans and a shirt, nothing fancy is required.

The show we saw was called Of Sound Mind & Dead Body.  Audience members are pulled in to play suspects in the show.  This is great for an outgoing person, for me though…I would rather just watch haha.  During the show you are fed a 3 course meal and there is even a vegetarian option.

The funny thing is, no one knows who the murderer is…not even the murderer!  There was a lot of laughter throughout the night.  So, if you are looking for something different to do, check out The Murder Mystery Company.  I can tell you that it seemed that the larger groups had more fun, so invite some friends to eat dinner and help solve the mystery!  They even do private parties!

I received tickets to facilitate this review, no compensation was received and all opinions are my own.
