Your teeth are one of the first things that people notice when they look at you and you will never regret taking good care of them!

So I have always had somewhat nice teeth, not noticeably crooked; but not perfectly straight either. I didn’t even consider that I may have dental problems until I saw an orthodontist for the first time!
I have always gone to the dentist regularly, and I have never missed a cleaning! Somehow with all my years of being a model dental patient, not one dentist mentioned I may need to see an orthodontist for braces!
Well… not until I was an adult and now financially responsible for said braces.
A few years ago I saw an orthodontist and got my bite looked at finally, turns out I have a cross-bite and an over-bite. I got the quote for the treatment plan and boy was it high! I crumbled that paper up and threw it away the moment I left the building (LOL)!
Moving forward with braces as an adult
Fast forward a few years and I am finally handling my dental issues. I had a baby almost two years ago and I swear pregnancy made my teeth ten times worse!
I was very sick throughout my pregnancy and it definitely took a toll on my smile sadly. A few months ago I took the plunge and invested in my teeth finally! I mean… I made a tiny human, I think I kind of deserve it! It’s so easy to put ourselves last as parents, but sometimes taking care of ourselves is exactly what we need to get a little bit of a pick-me-up!
I ultimately chose to go with Invisalign, it just made sense to me and I could actually see myself following through with it. It was actually a pretty cool process! They use a machine to make a digital 3D version of your teeth and that’s what they use to create your aligner trays!
You are supposed to wear them at least 16-20 hours a day and you can only drink water while you have them in. I have only had mine for about a month and I’m already noticing a slight improvement!
Invisalign isn’t the only option when it comes to improving your smile either! In fact, if you’re in Florida, check out this dentist South Tampa that has a super wide variety of services in cosmetic dentistry to help your smile reach its full potential and their results are amazing!
Taking care of your teeth, in general, is super important! The way they look may be important to you, but proper dental hygiene is even more important!
I know that I personally tend to slack on dental care when life gets a bit crazy, but after reading an article about just how important it is; I really kicked my butt into gear!
Your smile is so important! So take good care of it and do whatever you need to feel confident about it! Whether that be an at home whitening kit or dental reconstruction! You deserve to feel proud of your smile!

I agree take care of them .
People who have the means to have dental done should do it. If you have dental coverage consider yourself very lucky.
I am glad you are taking care of yours if the misalignment is bothering you or your health.
