Teaching Manners with a Barbie Charm School Party!

09.19.2011 by Girl on Fire // 7 Comments

This post is a bit past due!  My first planned party feel through due to multiple reasons.  But then a perfect opportunity arose!  I mean PERFECT!

The girls had a AHG scouting lock-in scheduled for Friday night.  The older girls had an event to go to on Saturday which left exactly 12 girls with us (2 of which are my younger ones).  12 girls to entertain and a box of exactly the right amount of supplies for 12 girls to have a Barbie Charm School Party!  Oh and it all goes towards a badge even!  I’m beginning to think that God had this one planned and that is why my first party attempt fell through.

The party box contained all kinds of goodies that this bunch of little girls found very awesome:  Manners activity,Manners chart / stickers, Thank You Notes, Certificate of Completion,Tiaras and of course Barbies!  I set everything up while the girls were in another activity.  They were trying to peak and ran over as soon as they could to see what was going on.

They were excited to participate in Barbie Charm School! My friend made an excellent Charm School teacher while I assisted by passing out Crown and adding star stickers as the girls finished each session on the checklist.

The Barbie Charm School was so perfect for our girls.  It was an opportunity to bring in a lot of biblical scriptures as well.  I wish I would have had my video camera so you could have heard the girls.  They really knew their stuff and we went over areas that needed to be worked on as well.  There was a lot of open discussion!Barbie Charm School

When we finished with our class we wrote thank you cards with the girls to some of our troop leaders! The girls loved this idea and were excited to get their thank you cards written.  Even the littlest girls did their best!Barbie Charm School

Each girl was given a certificate of completion as well!  We were very proud of all the girls!  They have this princess thing down! Check out Barbie Charm School online!

Isn’t she pretty? Her dress get’s longer with the push of a button!  Take her shirt off and she is in a beautiful gown!

Don’t forget to pick up the DVD Barbie: Princess Charm School for your little Princess!

Disclosure:  I received the Barbie Charm School Party Kit from the One2One Network.  All opinions are my own.

I Love Popcorn, it Makes Me Happy

Comments are now closed! We are one heck of a popcorn eating family.  My girls freak out when they hear daddy making popcorn.  He makes it old-school.  A big ‘ol pan, some oil and some popcorn kernels! I’m too much of a wuss to kick it old-school, even though I prefer the taste much better.  […]
