How to Start a Successful Online Business

08.25.2017 by Girl on Fire // Leave a Comment

Online businesses are the majority of where my income comes from.  Starting a successful online business requires dedication and consistency.  Trial and error and more error and even more error.  I have to work at them every day.  I am not yet a success, but I know eventually with hard work I will be.

How to Start a Successful Online Business

Here are just a few tips that I can give on starting a successful online business.

Learn from Others

Successful Online Business

There are some great tips I have picked up a long the way from very some successful online business owners as well as business coaches.  Joining marketing workshops by people like Grace Lever can really get you pumped up and filled with great advice and tips to really grow your business.

I read a Grace Lever review and I am really interested in checking out her workshops and learn even more about digital marketing.  You can never have too much knowledge.

Build a Community

Building a community of like minded individuals is a huge part of having success with your online business.  A community of people that will use your products and help spread the word is worth more than the best advertising that money can buy.

Have a Plan

bullet journal

You can’t go very far without a plan.  A map of your steps to get from point A to point B is necessary to keep you on track and headed towards your goals.  Write down each milestone you need to reach with the steps you need to take to reach each one.  Breaking it down will help keep you focused on one step at a time and will make you feel more accomplished as you check each step off.  I personally use a Bullet Journal.  It is my personal brain that helps me stay on track in every aspect of my entire life.  I don’t think I could make it through a day without it.

Social Media Matters

This one has been a tough for me lately.  There is so much craziness going on in the world and when I log on to social media I am bombarded with it and it can be overwhelming.  But without social media, your business is not as likely to survive.  This is where everyone goes to find out about anything and everything.  This is where a lot of your business promotion will happen.  Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube.  These are the places you need to be.

What do you think is the most important tip for people starting an online business?

Man, we went from high 70’s to 80’s and then dropped down to 32!  I even have a flower bloomed out front while we are running around in winter coats! It’s been so cold that I think that I need a new coat myself.  Since Jeremy and I have been fishing all the time I […]
