Texas Winter, Sick Just Got Real Giveaway

02.17.2017 by Girl on Fire // 93 Comments

I have lived in Texas for about 14 years now.  This Texas winter has been the weirdest winter I have ever experienced in my life.  One day high 80’s, the next in the 30’s.  Some days 60 degrees and then the next in the 20’s.  Really it has been awful and truly brought us to the sick just got real point.

This post has been sponsored by Pfizer Consumer Healthcare and 20th Century Fox. All thoughts and reviews are my own.

Lauren Sick

I don’t know about you, but the girls and I really struggle with this back and forth weather.  It is draining to say the least and we have been sick so much this winter.  Nothing serious needing a doctors visit of course, everything has been totally treatable with over the counter medications.  We have stayed stocked up with Pfizer Pediatric products from Target.

sick just got real

You can stock up your own sick day survival kit at Target as well!  Some things we keep on hand for ours are:

  • Children’s Advil®
  • Children’s Robitussin®
  • Children’s Dimetapp® Cough & Cold
  • Family friendly films like Ice Age Collision Course, The Sandlot (family fav!), and The Peanuts Movie.

Children’s Dimetapp® is one of my favorite medications, it’s been around for so long!  I think the familiarity of it gives me a piece of mind with my kids since I was given this by mom as well when I was little.

You can save while stocking up by using these Cartwheel coupon codes (valid 1/29/17 through 2/20/17)

  •  Children’s Robitussin®
  •  Children’s Dimetapp®
  •  Children’s Advil®
  •  Ice Age Collision Course
  •  The Peanuts Movie
  •  The Sandlot

The Giveaway!

One Not So Average Mama reader will win a $25 Target gift card, additional Pfizer Pediatric products [Children’s Advil® Suspension, Grape, Children’s Robitussin® Cough & Chest Congestion, Children’s Dimetapp® Cough & Cold] and (1) 20th Century Fox DVD (Ice Age: Collision Course, The Sandlot, or The Peanuts Movie).

Giveaway ends 2/26/2017

I have many, many meds for kids from cold and cough to tylenol, ibuprofen, bandaids, etc. A good bowl of homemade soup is great to have sickness starts. As a dad raising kids, I try to be prepared.
