Sell or Trade Your Old Cell Phones!

01.07.2010 by Girl on Fire // 1 Comment

logoIt seems like people are always upgrading to the newest gadgets such as cell phones.  People go through a lot of them.  I have seen several of my friends go through about 4 phones in a year!  Insane!  Did you know you can sell or trade your old cell phone and help reduce eWaste on Earth? With cell phone recycling at Flipswap, you could make a difference!

Cell phone trade in couldn’t be easier!  First thing you do is track down your phone and answer a few questions about it.  Print a free shipping label, send it and get paid!  That’s it!

You can also choose to donate your phone to charity with cell phone donation!  I think I need to hunt around our house and find my own trade in cell phone material!  I bet I have one laying around here somewhere that could make a difference for someone in need!

I was shocked to learn that the average American adult buys a new cell phone every 12 months!  More than 100 million cell phones are replaced each year!  I was happy to read that Flipswap has facilitated the trade-in of more than 800,000 phones since launching in 2005.  It’s so awesome, if the phone is in good working condition it continues its life as a phone.  If not, then it is recycled and made into new things.
