You know, right now I would gladly sell, give and store all of our possessions and move into an RV. What an experience that would be! The kids could see so much and we could really learn a lot while traveling. Imagine the people we would meet!
My parents are tossing around the idea of living in an RV. I’m trying my hardest to talk them into it! Bringing it to Texas and staying locally. Their RV is just like living in a home! Well, except one thing…no TV. No TV is ok for a few days, but they really needed to be able to see local weather and news. Not to mention entertainment when it was downtime from playing outside.
When they were visiting recently with the RV, I noticed that many of the other RV’s had RV Satellite TV. I had no idea that you could have mobile accounts like that for traveling! So, I looked into it. They have tons of affordable packages for RV DISH Network TV. You can choose from add on packages for your existing account (that would include your home and rv), or you can set up full and even part time traveling packages!
This makes me think that RV living is even more doable for my family. We honestly do not watch a lot of TV, but TV is great for educational purposes as well as some good family time watching a family friendly movie. I know some of you think that it voids the whole point of camping. Not really…I mean if you are camping in an RV you are already voiding the idea of “real” camping right?
I think having the dish for the RV is a smart idea! Especially with the crazy storms we get here in Texas! I want to know if there is something on the way that we need to prepare for! Also, I think my kids would go crazy if they didn’t have access to animal planet!
