Oh.My.Gosh! Today was an exciting day! I weighed myself and was happily surprised with being down 5.5 lbs. All I have done is skate! I haven’t even skated that much yet! I also have been drinking a lot more water.
This such a great start! No crash dieting involved. Just better choices and more exercise. If you are looking for a fun sport to join, I highly suggest coming and checking out CTH at North Texas Derby Revolution. If you want a work out that really works your body and you want to have fun and meet great people, then this is the place for you!For my birthday/Christmas present I got new skates! They are the Riedell Diablo Speed Skatesand they are awesome! I love them so much! Ain’t they purdy?
I also FINALLY bought my own pads! I chose the 187 Killer Fly Knee Pads, which are super affordable and comfy too!
Then for elbow pads I got the 187 Killer Elbow Pads. So happy to not need to borrow this gear anymore.
I already had my own wrist guards and I will upgrade those later. For now though, they will do. They were a thrift store score, brand new!
Oh and I have a purdy helmet too….Lord knows that this mama doesn’t need anymore damage done to her brain! I have the Triple Eight Brainsaver Rubber Teal Skate Helmet & Sweatsaver Liner.
Ohhh…and this is what I use to protect my teeth! Sisu 1.6 (Protech Dent) Mouth Guard Single Pack (Purple) Roller Derby Mouthguard.
I also applied to be a part of the #iHeartOmron Fitness Challenge by Mamavation. You can apply too, just click and it will take you there. This would be an extra push for me.
OH, one more thing to say! For Christmas my mother bought my family a 3 month skating pass! Awesome gift, because we are trying to simplify and this will not take up any space in our home.
