Can You Help My Daughter Get to JuniorCon 2014? Roller Derby! #JrDerby #RollerDerby

01.19.2014 by Girl on Fire // Leave a Comment

My oldest daughter Morgan will be 16 in April and she is Tragedy Ann #14 in Jr. Derby for The Rolling Rebellion.  She has a dream to attend JuniorCon 2014 which would be an amazing event for her in the world of Roller Derby.  They will also be hosting tryouts for the Junior Derby World Cup Team.  This is a huge deal, but there is quite a bit of expense that comes along with it.  It is in Daytona, Fl.  She will be traveling with another amazing skater.

Thing is, I haven’t been working all that much due to my RSD.  It’s gotten much worse.  I really want her to be able to go and I know in my heart it will happen.  I have set up a GoFundMe page to help raise part of the money she will need to attend.  We are also interested in sponsorship opportunities for her.  If she happened to make it on the World Cup Team, then sponsorship would be a must.  If you can help, that would be awesome.  Every little bit adds up.  If you are a company and want to sponsor her, that is fantastic, please contact me.rr7990copy

Types of companies that could be a good fit would be sports companies (Skates, Pads, Mouth Guards, Helmets, Clothing, etc.), Health (Water, Sports Drinks, Nutritional Bars, etc.), Clothing Companies and much much more!  I am sure we could work out a way to help promote your company in exchange for sponsorship for my young skater.  Morgan has skills!  She is a fantastic blocker that can hold her own.

Thanks so much for considering helping Morgan make a dream come true!

Why you should support Junior Roller Derby…

In my opinion, there has never been a sport that has built body confidence in women like Roller Derby has.  Women of all shapes and sizes play the sport.  They are all athletes and treat each other as such.  There is no body shaming.  I have never seen people as supportive as the women of Roller Derby.  I am proud that all of my girls play Roller Derby!
