Have you heard of REV Meat Snack Mix from Hormel? I recently received some to sample…a whole box full to be specific. Enough to get us all hooked! REV Meat Snack Mix is a convenient little cup of tasty goodness. You’ve got your crunch and you’ve got your meat…and if you are like me…then you can even have your spicy hotness if you so please! Mmmmm….I like spicy hot!
The flavors we tried were: Spicy BBQ & Bacon, Pepperoni Pizza, and Turkey Ranch.
My favorite was the Spicy BBQ and Bacon. My little ones did not like this one, but my teen and I loved it and fought over who got the last container! It is HOT, too hot for some…but perfect for me. Packed inside that snack cup was jalapeno bacon, sourdough pretzels and BBQ seasoned bagel chips! So good!
My younger girls loved the Pepperoni Pizza. This one had teeny tiny pepperoni’s…so cute, awwwww….and cheese crackers with Parmesan, tomato herb bagel chips. I really liked this one too!
Everyone also liked the Turkey Ranch. With this one you get the smoked turkey that is round like a pepperoni. Then you have the ranch breadsticks and my favorite…pita chips!
So, for you nutrition junkies…here are the facts. Depending on which snack mix you choose you are getting 8-12 grams of protein, 200-230 calories, 60-140 fat calories, 0 trans fat and 12-25 grams of carbohydrates.
This is REAL meat. The convenience is just fantastic. The packaging and the fact that it doesn’t need to be refrigerated is great. We are a family on the go and I don’t get to sit still often. This is something my girls can throw in their Derby bags to give them a quick pick me up after practice. It’s also great for our family game nights! Everyone grabs their favorite and we get down with some UNO.
I hope that Hormel will decide to keep this on the shelves, my girls are hooked!
You can find Hormel REV Meat Snack Mix for a limited time (sad face) in Kroger stores in the DFW area.
