Restore Clean Water System By HoMedics

11.30.2009 by Girl on Fire // 3 Comments

restoreJugI don’t drink water from the sink.  Every since I became a mom my sense of smell is of super hero status. I can smell everything and man that tap water sure was smelling like lake water!

We have a water dispenser on the refrigerator door that is filtered.  It’s great to get a glass of water.  My deal was I needed something for large amounts of water for the coffee pot and to make tea.  Waiting on the little stream from the refrigerator door just wasn’t cutting it.

The Restore Clean Water System is just what we needed.  It not only filters the water, but also uses a germ killing UV Clean technology to purify the water as well.

restoreUVThe activated carbon and ion exchange resin filter reduce heavy metals, chlorine and some industrial and agricultural pollutants.  After this process completes you are ready for the purification process.  The purification process takes about 60 seconds!  After this your water will be free of 99.9999% of bacteria, 99.99% of viruses and 99.95% of microbial cysts!

This literally takes no time at all to complete.  We have been using it and feeling much better about the water we are drinking and using in our home.

There is one thing I would love to see changed about the pitcher though.  The lid doesn’t lock on and it can make it hard to pour.  If there was some sort of locking mechanism added that would be terrific! All in all, I am happy with the Restore Clean water System!

I was sent a free HoMedics Restore Clean Water System to review and share my honest opinion with my readers.

Does it taste better than the filtered water (from the fridge)? I love how it looks! It’s so cute! (My priorities are off, I know. Taste & looks, huh…)

Yes it does! I use it a lot for my coffee pot and to make iced tea!

I really like that it only takes 60 seconds to purify, that’s a pretty awesome feature.
